When you see this place from the outside, you'll likely think keep on driving. Seriously. You're here to eat not criticize the building. The chicken fried steak is really tender and tasty. Comes with your choice of two sides. Note: the sides are not on the menu but posted on the back wall in very small print. The server had to tell me the sides. Fried okra costs a bit more but was worth it. The portion is on the smaller side but that just means you'll have room for an appetizer. Service was excellent.

I came here with my husband for lunch on a weekday. It was packed. There weren't any tables so we stood in line for one to be available. As soon as a table was available, the older couple behind us pushed past us to grab that table because they have "4 people in their party". It really doesn't matter how many people you have. That's just rude. That was an unpleasant experience. People do watch out for older people who takes advantage like that and get away with it. I had the fried chicken plate. It comes with 3 pieces of chicken and 2 sides. Great texture, a little greasy and a little under seasoned. But you can't beat the price for the portion. Don't let the outside and lack of ambience deter you. You have to come try it at least once.

One of the best restaurants we have eaten at in a long time. The service was great!! The food was better. A simple conversation with the wait staff and manager and they were able to accommodate our families fish allergy. The fried okra was the best I have had in a decade.

Down home cooking, very good food. Portions are generous. Most all of the waitresses are extremely friendly and helpful with the exception of one. She seems to always be in a bad mood. We have eaten here numerous times for lunch and dinner.

We had 2 different burgers which featured hand formed patties, and which were delicious, but the onion rings were quite greasy, and the fries were just okay. We will go again for burgers, but will try different sides. The special that day was chicken fried steak, which we were told was quite delicious.

I went whith a group so the manger opened up a complete section for our group. Very cozy for us, 16 folks.

Above average comfort food. This place includes a bar, 2 dining areas and a casino type lower area. They allow smoking in the back casino type area and the cigarette smoke passes from there into the main dining area/bar area at entry. We asked them to open the 2nd dining area which was closed when arrived, and they did, allowing us to enjoy our meals without the cigarette smoke. Suprising hole in the wall type place that you would never expect to be so good.
